ENTRIES:
Entry fees may be paid online prior to the event by credit card or PayPal, or by direct transfer. Entry may also be paid on the day in cash (please tender the correct change).

Fees:
Entry Fee: $100.00 per player. Free entries for WIM/IM/WGM/GM and above (and games of players with a FIDE above 2400 will unfortunately not be rated).
Conditions:
1. Free accommodation for up to five (5) non Tasmanian players with a FIDE rating above 1900. First come first served. Shared accommodation. May be expanded to include more persons depending on interest.
2. Interstate players unable to obtain the free accommodation offered at condition 1 but would like to request billeting at a local player's residence must contact me directly - I will facilitate an arrangement if possible.
3. All players in the A1600 will be paired (buddy system) with a board from the U1600 each round. Entrants to the A1600 event are strongly encouraged to participate in the chess community by going through a game analysis of the assigned U1600 game with the U1600 players they are paired with for that round (15 to 20 minutes per game). If there are excess A1600 players, players will be allocated to the U1600 boards by their event ranking held just before the start of the round. U1600 players are encouraged to approach their paired A1600 partner for feedback, but it is not a requirement (although encouraged) for the A1600 to provide such feedback.
4. Forfeit time is 30 minutes.
5. Drinks and snacks will be catered on an ad hoc basis.
6. We may move a player to the A1600 section at our absolute discretion. If you are a U1600 player who has been moved up, you may withdraw before the start of round 1 and your entry fee will be refunded.
7. Prize pool conditional on 60 players entering all events. Prize pool will be scaled proportional to the number of entries.
8. Two assistant Arbiters will be chosen from the entered players for the A1600 tournament. Assistant arbiters will be arranged for the U1600 tournament.
9. All players may take up to two half point byes in any but the last two rounds of their respective event.
10. Condition 9 does not apply to the designated lecturer for Round 8 of the A1600, and they may receive a half point bye for Round 8 on that basis. The designated lecturer will be the lecturer for Lecture #2 of the U1600 event. This rule does not apply if the designated lecturer is not participating in the A1600 event.
Post Tournament Analysis:
All U1600 players who submit their event games to the Tournament Organiser will receive a collated study of their games with comments/analysis for their review.
