The 2021 Launceston Cup was a great success, thanks to the friendly spirit of all players and the brilliant organisation and hospitality of the Launceston Chess Club. It was a shame that Eddy had to withdraw from the tournament before Round 6, especially as he was a strong favourite for the title at the time of his forced withdrawal.
